Senior Mechanical Engineer The Senior Mechanical Engineer will facilitate / collate information required for design functions, disseminate design information internally and externally to the design group and will coordinate and supervise design functions within a project / study context. Requirements: • Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Technically (theory) competent. • Eligibility or membership of ECSA is preferred. • 10 + years mechanical design experience in the mining and minerals processing industry. • Site experience – construction and commissioning. • Organizational, administration and time management skills. • Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and in-house engineering programs Responsibilities: • Technical specifications and reports. • RFT's technical recommendations and RFP's. • Engineering content of design drawings and technical documents within a project / study context. • Calculations including checking and documenting. • Project / study equipment list – technical content. • Engineering input into PFD's, P&ID's and control philosophies. • Vetting/approving vendor data. • Responding to technical queries from projects, client and site. • Conducting regular design group meetings within a project / study context.
