| (EE) RETAIL AMBASSADOR JOB SUMMARY: The value proposition of a Retail Ambassador is to unlock the Customer for THE COMPANY by providing the Customer with Unmatched Business Value through a superior and professional service, differentiated according to a Customer’s importance. The Retail Ambassador plays a critical role in driving RDF activities based on an intimate Customer understanding that will ensure THE COMPANY is seen as a Partner of Choice within the FMCG industry, unlocking Strategic Customers for CDC activities driving Consumer Experiences. Flawless execution of all activities will drive real Category Growth, creating a true win-win-win, and acknowledgement of THE COMPANY by Customers as leading FMCG service standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Full responsibility of the Customer Business Development process which includes: - Commercial Management – Trade Investments (including Trading Terms), DSS Sign up & ISF investment, Compliancy measurement and payments, - Customer Relationship Management – Relationship building, Customer motivations understanding, understanding of Customer’s business, collaborative planning, - Category Lead - New Product introductions, Model Stock management, Category portfolio management, Consumer understanding, Information sharing, Category performance management & growth (incl Activities & effectiveness), Retailer Pricing strategies, Category profitability & up trading. Service outlets according to the 9 steps of a distribution call to ensure that agreed objectives are met and that the Company is projected as a professional/best practice company. - Full responsibility for the Customer Order Management process at all outlets in Territory (incl Order Taking; managing Customer Credit Limit & Stock quantity limitations, Double Orders, Future Dated Orders & Special Orders) - Full Responsibility of the Customer Delivery Management process at all outlets in Territory (incl Managing Customer product returns; Managing issues with delivery process with DHL) - Full responsibility of the Customer Invoice, Payment & Debt Management where applicable during Prompt/Top Up sales scenario with cash sales - Full responsibility for the following aspects within the Customer Business Development process, ie Customer Relationship management, New Brand introductions, Model Stock management and Brand Story Communication Activities. EDUCATION: A Degree or Diploma, preferably in Marketing/Business Management, or Grade 12 plus 2-3 years relevant FMCG experience. KEY REQUIREMENTS: Valid Code 08 Drivers license Thorough Supply chain and Distribution knowledge Basic understanding of Trade Marketing principles Thorough Outlet and Consumer classification knowledge. Field Force Knowledge – structure and development. Sound understanding of the business. Trade and Wholesaler profitability and Account Management. | |
