Contract senior level position in the mining sector in Zambia.
Our client offers an annual package of US$190K-US$200K per annum, (taxable in Zambia) per annum for the right candidate. Other benefits will be discussed with potential candidates.

Our client a major player in the Copper Mining Industry and based in the Copperbelt, Zambia would like to interview suitable candidates for the position of EPCM Project Manager (Engineering Procurement Construction Management) for their operations in Zambia. The production shaft will be blind shaft and the ventilation shaft will be raise bore.

A residential position as opposed to a fly-in-fly-out position. Ample leave is provided for with a travelling allowance paid per annum in addition to the annual package specified.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Our client is in the process of finalizing the planning for a new shaft to be sunk by a contractor and the client is looking for a suitably qualified project manager to oversee the project on their behalf. The incumbent will report directly to the COO of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• BSc. Mining or Engineering Degree
• A project management Qualification
• Extensive project management experience in Shaft Sinking focusing on EPCM
• Strong Engineering background (Engineering or mining degree with a project management qualification) with good financial skills
• Proven successful experience in the management of deep mining EPCM projects and implementation and budget control
• Experience in institutions with good corporate governance – in the mining sector
