Retail Brand Manager

Retail Brand Manager based in Midrand R18000.00 – R21000.00 ctc

- Management & development of RBC’s
- Management of compliance levels
- Training & motivation
- Driving sales
- Relationship Management
- Analysis of reports
- Administration & expense control
- Meet one-on-one with National Retail Brand Manager monthly
- Meet with RBCs weekly and monthly, region permitting
- Overview, endorse and submit Regional Weekly Meeting minutes
- Meet with Retail Channel Area Managers, Network Field Operation Staff and Handset
- Manufacturer representatives monthly
- Store visits with National Retail Brand Manager monthly
- Weekly store visits with RBCs (rotational basis)
- Update and communicate regional performances, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
with the National Retail Brand Manager on an ongoing basis

Training:

• Train, develop and mentor Retail Brand Consultants (formal & informal)
• Co-ordinate and conduct training for RBC’s per area
• Co-ordinate and conduct training for Channels per area

Finance:

• Manage and motivate the RBCs to increase sales and ensure efficiency at all levels in the field
• Analyse sales figures per area in accordance with sales forecast
• Evaluate & manage monthly expenses in line with budget
• Identify critical sales factors and develop action plans
• Drive the execution of promotions in store

Reports:

• Co-ordinate RBC call cycles
• Evaluate RBC call cycles & unlisted store visit plans
• Manage execution of call cycles, unlisted store visits and ad-hoc projects, as required
• Analyse and submit SAR daily
• Compile weekly and monthly regional reports:
◦ Store visit compliance
◦ Merchandising compliance
◦ Training and relationship mapping
◦ Operational issues

Relationship Building:

• Relationship building with Network Field Operations staff per region on a monthly basis
• Relationship building with Retail Channel Area Managers per region on a monthly basis
• Relationship building with Handset Manufacturer representatives per region on a monthly basis
• Provide regular feedback from the Retail Channels to the National Retail Brand Manager
• Motivation of RBC team

Performance Management

• Ongoing evaluation of RBC performance
• Evaluate action plans & execution thereof
• Performance counseling
• Disciplinary procedures

Merchandising:

• Ensure merchandising standards are met on a regional basis
• Evaluate and maintain Glocell brand presence in store
• Manage store visits compliance & merchandising standards
• Recruitment and retention of key personnel
• Attend to HR related issues
Analysis (strategy thinking)

Minimum Matric certificate
Sales & Marketing Diploma / Degree – or similar qualification

3 years experience in Retail environment
3 years managerial experience
• 5 years experience in the retail environment
• 5 years managerial experience
• Extensive National Traveling
